ABI Week 2011: Another Headway success story
Action for Brain Injury Week 2011
ABI Week is a chance to celebrate the vital and often unsung work of Headway's Groups and Branches across the UK, while at the same time raising awareness of brain injury and its devastating effects.
Promoting Headway
With local authority cuts threatening the ability of Headway to provide support to those affected by brain injury, it has never been more important for Groups and Branches to shout about the vital role they play in supporting vulnerable people within their communities.
Local campaigning during ABI Week 2011 was varied, depending on the issues being faced in each region. Activity included Headway demonstrating the impact cuts are already having, while highlighting how reducing local authority support to charities like Headway flies in the face of the government's Big Society concept.
Local events
As always, ABI Week is also an opportunity to celebrate the excellent work of the charity at a local and national level and there were a host of fun and exciting events taking place across the country. Watch this space for details of some of these events.
Hats for Headway Day
Our popular fundraising event, 'Hats for Headway Day, returned on Friday 13th May 2011.
Action for Brain Injury Week Posters
We produced a range of posters to support this year's Action for Brain Injury Week campaign. Based on the theme 'Another Headway success story', they highlight the inspirational stories of people who have been supported by Headway.

You can download the posters below for use in your own campaigning. The poster have been designed so they can be used after the campaign.
