Headway East Northants
Headway East Northants prides itself on providing a safe but challenging environment. Based in Irthlingborough and open between 10am and 4pm Monday to Thursday, the centre offers a range of activity based services to stimulate the brain and improve memory, concentration and coordination.
Centre activities include: Music making, arts and crafts, gentle exercise - including visits to the gym, Wii sports and fitness, relaxation sessions, working with wood, computer skills, memory games, board games and quizzes, and an audiobook group.
We also arrange trips out in our own minibus. Including residential weekends away.
Headway East Northants provides an outreach service covering the whole of Northamptonshire. This new project which is funded until December 2011 by Northamptonshire County Council will provide a Family Support Worker, a Volunteer Coordinator and volunteer mentors within the community. Referrals will come through our various partners including Northamptonshire County Councils Adult Services and NHS Northamptonshire. People will also be able to self refer.
