Charity of the year/Challenge baton
The Challenge Baton is a scheme unique to Headway. Every year, a company or organisation is presented with the Headway Challenge Baton at the Awards Luncheon, and commits to raising funds for Headway for a year.
Previous holders have discovered many unexpected and lasting benefits from taking part in the Challenge Baton scheme, and these benefits are obtained while having fun and supporting a good cause at the same time. These include:
Enhancing corporate image
As an employer you will know the value and benefit of encouraging your staff to co-operate and work together to help the community. Organisations that have accepted the Challenge Baton have found it an outstanding team-building exercise, and have found that it has significantly increased communication between departments, head, regional and branch offices.
Workforce camaraderie
The scheme is excellent for morale raising within the workforce by their involvement in charitable support, either individually or as part of a team, through friendly and enjoyable pursuits.
