Headway News winter 2011
09 December 2011
It's incredible the lengths some people will go to in support of Headway. Take Mark, for example, who chose to run not one but seven marathons in just seven days to raise money for his local Group. Then there's Sarah, who found herself hurtling down a volcano during an electrical storm - all in the name of Headway! You can read more about Mark and Sarah's exploits in this edition of Headway News.
But when you read about some of the inspirational people the charity helps, you begin to understand why people will go to such lengths to help. Just two years ago, Samira Furniss almost lost her life when undergoing complicated surgery to remove two aneurysms. Despite having to relearn how to talk, eat and even sit up as her recovery continues, she is already helping others similarly affected. You can read her incredible story on page 15.
We've also got a bumper crop of news from across the UK to keep you up-to-date with what's happening throughout the
Headway family.
Happy reading!
