From high-profile marathons to local running events and fun-runs, Headway supporters have raised thousands of pounds to help our work.
Whether you are a seasoned runner or someone who wants to achieve a personal goal, contact us if you would like to participate in a running event to raise funds for Headway. We can provide you with lots of fundraising ideas, a sponsorship pack and a Headway running vest.
Some of this year's highlights...
You don't need to be a seasoned runner to join the Headway running team! A 5K run is the ideal event for beginners and the minimum sponsorship required is only £100, including a £20 deposit on registration.
The New York Marathon is one of the most iconic running events in the world. A must-do for seasoned runners, and keen amateurs, it is the best way to see the five Boroughs whilst taking in the energy of thousands of New Yorkers cheering you along the way.
The Asics Reading Half Marathon is one of the most popular half marathons in the UK. Finishing at the Madejski Stadium it offers the perfect spot for your supporters to cheer for you as you celebrate completing 13.1 miles in support of Headway!
Whether you're a marathon runner, half-marathon runner, or a fun-runner, this Midlands event has something for you! The Robin Hood Marathon events are probably the most scenic city centre routes in the UK. Fast road sections are mixed with deer parks, River Trent and the Nottingham University campus, producing unique road race.
Other events
Headway has guaranteed places available in some of the UK's biggest annual running events, including The Virgin London Marathon which takes place in April.
