Headway Aylesbury Vale needs trustees

Aylesbury Headway provides centre based and some community opportunities for clients with brain injury however caused. We wish to expand our activities and have available the following Trustee posts.

It is our policy to keep the work loads of volunteer trustees to a manageable level so that no commitment becomes too onerous and the work load is comfortable and satisfying.

The trustees meet approximately every six weeks with tasks performed between each meeting. The average time commitment will be approximately six hours per month.

We employ a Centre Manager, an Assistant Manager and four further support Staff but require a Trustee to assist an existing trustee in supervising the centre and liaising with the Trustee Board.

We employ a bookkeeper but require a Trustee to act as Treasurer and Company Secretary (we are a charitable company limited by guarantee). This will involve, in the main, overseeing not execution.

We also require general trustees to deputise for the Chairman and Secretary.

Volunteers are also needed to help in the centre one or two days a week.
