The Sound of Recovery
To do some good music...it's a fantastic thing!
Ross Wakefield’s love of music got him through the dark days in hospital after being knocked over crossing a road he’d crossed thousands of times before. He suffered horrific head and facial injuries in the incident, and his recovery was further complicated when he contracted meningitis.
From tapping on the night stand to recording the white noise of nurses rushing around the ward - five years after the accident he then sampled those sounds to release the ethereal EP ‘The Retreat’ under his alias Frankson. In doing so, he’s raising money for Headway in order to help other brain injury survivors.
Buy The Retreat on Band Camp to receive a digital copy of the album, with proceeds going to Headway - the brain injury association.
Alternatively, you can stream now on all major music streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.
Producer Ross Wakefield, who writes under the alias Frankson, is releasing new music, and supporting Headway- the brain injury association through his EP streaming and sales.
