Sex and sexuality after brain injury

The Course

Sexual and relationship problems are frequently reported following acquired brain injury and research suggests that not all of it is due to organic damage.

This workshop looks in a practical way at the view that sexual and relationship education and therapy should be an essential part of brain injury rehabilitation.

This is an introductory level course on how brain injury affects sexuality and sexual functioning. We would recommend that prospective delegates discuss their attendance with us prior to booking on the course to make sure the level is appropriate for them. We also offer a two-day extension course aimed at a higher level, and the whole three days can be delivered as a bespoke 'in-house' course.

The outcomes of this workshop will be to further participant's knowledge about brain injury and sexuality and to increase their confidence in dealing with sex and sexuality as a normal part of rehabilitation concerns for survivors and their partners.
