Andy Tyerman is a leading Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist who has been the Head of Service at the Aylesbury Community Head Injury Service for over 20 years. This highly regarded service provides: brain injury assessment, rehabilitation, specialist family services and vocational rehabilitation.
In total, Andy has over 35 years' experience of working with survivors of brain injury, having previously worked at the Wolfson Rehabilitation Centre in London, and Rayners Hedge in Buckinghamshire.
Andy has an impressive record of NHS service awards, good practice citations and personal awards. He has published numerous research articles, managed research projects and presented papers at national and international conferences. He has served on several brain injury guideline development groups and acted as an advisor to the Department of Health and the Department for Work and Pensions.
Andy has been a long standing friend and supporter of Headway, provided teaching sessions for numerous Headway groups and served on the boards of local Headway groups and Headway UK advisory bodies.
Andy is married with two children and enjoys walking and kayaking in his free time.
