Daring fundraisers to take on Great Wall of China

Thu 30 Jun 2016

June’s fundraisers of the month are Lynne Carrick-Leary and Jennifer Cawthorne, who are preparing to take on the Great Wall of China Trek in September. These two amazing ladies have so far raised more than £6,000 for the benefit of our work!

Lynne Carrick-Leary and Jennifer Cawthorne training for their Great Wall of China trek to support HeadwayJen & Lynne are both "just so excited about conquering the Great Wall of China. Our training walks, which started in March, have taken us to some wonderful places and we have been blessed with great weather (most of the time!).

"We have had some hard walks and even with new boots, blisters are still popping up, but it’s all worth it to support such a great charity as Headway. They are a fantastic national charity whose work we have seen first-hand and are an integral part of the brain injury community, offering help and support to anyone who has sustained a brain injury, their families and friends.

"We are looking forward to ensuring the great work Headway do is taken to an international level by spreading the word on our way to China!"

Headway is so grateful for their incredible support. We hope you’ll join us in wishing them both the very best of luck for their challenge!
