Headway Cambridgeshire
We provide specialist services and support to people with an acquired brain injury, their family and carers across the whole of Cambridgeshire, including Huntingdon, Peterborough and Fenland. We also provide rehabilitation opportunities for people from surrounding counties where appropriate.
The mission of Headway Cambridgeshire is "Improving Life After Brain Injury". We have many years of practical experience making life better for people across the region who have survived a brain injury.
We fully understand the problems and difficulties that you may be facing and also recognise that no two people are affected in the same way. If you engage with us our service delivery teams will therefore agree a personally tailored programme of activities with you according to your individual needs.
We can provide support and services designed to improve self-confidence, self-esteem, daily living skills and promote independent living.
We also know that a brain injury is a family affair. We can therefore offer services to members of your family, as well as their friends and carers, as all these people may be suffering the effects of a brain injury.
We provide the following services:
- Specialist Day Services across the county
- Hospital Support in Addenbrookes
- Community Support
- Social and Support Groups
- Carers Support
- 'Your Time' (one-to-one support helping you to achieve a personal goal within your own home/community)
