Headway South East London, North West Kent offers a variety of services to survivors of brain injury and stroke. We also offer support to their families and carers.
Early intervention
We believe that early intervention promotes the best possible outcomes and is the base from which all future service goals should be set.
Our Early Intervention Service is located within Kings College Hospital London and works in conjunction with the Neuro Team.
The Early Intervention Service accepts referrals of traumatic brain injury from the 3 Neuro wards via the MDT discharge planning team the input at this stage is to inform and advise on pathways for individuals and families and following the discharge ensuring that all signposted services have activated, supporting individuals and families for a smooth transition back into the community.
For those who are in need of more clinical input from clinical rehabilitation, Headway monitors until such time as Headway services are either required or closed.
