“It's not just about volunteering, it's about creating real, lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.”
I'm Matt, I've been with Headway Derbyshire for around 15 years, and for the last six, I've had the privilege of chairing the charity.
What I love is that the impact we can make as a team of volunteers is truly life-changing. Helping individuals with brain injuries regain their independence, rebuild their confidence, and find a sense of hope again.
Being part of this charity has shown me just how much we really can transform lives, and personally, the satisfaction I get from seeing these changes is what keeps me going. Because for us, it's not just about volunteering, it's about creating real, lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most.
