With over 400 attendees, the conference is for those who work closely with survivors of brain injury, including legal professionals, case management experts, health and social care professionals and specific neuro clinical experts.
Featuring speakers from across the sector, this year’s conference will centre on Quality of Life and the vital role that being integrated back into the community has in achieving positive outcomes for brain injury survivors.
Through a multidisciplinary lens, we will explore how professionals can work together to support better reintegration following brain injury, as well as the factors that may jeopardise progress when rehabilitation approaches are not sufficiently person-centred, or when communication between services breaks down.
We will also examine the use of technology in rehabilitation, considering when it can be beneficial and when it may be less suitable.
Speakers from both legal and social work backgrounds will give insight into the processes and challenges involved in community reintegration, and a closing panel discussion with all the speakers, two brain injury survivors and one family member, will explore how we can continue improving our approach.
