Alongside supporting the national network of Headway volunteer-led groups and independent charities in 2025, we:
- Supported over 10,000 people on the free Headway UK Helpline, offering expert, compassionate support and advice
- Saw over 34,000 downloads of our digital fact sheets and publications, helping survivor, families and professionals alike feel more informed.
- Provided 610 grants from our Emergency Fund, enabling families to be together in the early stages of injury
- Issued over 1,700 new Brain Injury ID Cards, enabling survivors of brain injury to feel more confident in social situations, as well as access to appropriate support
We have also strengthened and invested in other key services, including training for health and social care professionals and those working within the criminal justice system.
There is no doubt that 2025 brought significant challenges to the charity sector. Yet despite these difficulties, Headway UK has remained steadfast in its commitment to supporting brain injury survivors, their families, and carers.
And none of this would’ve been possible without our incredible supporters, to whom we’re so incredibly thankful.
