Headway UK has been proud to deliver services for brain injury survivors across the Dorset area for several years, offering activities such as walking groups, bowling, social opportunities, and more. During this time, we have supported individuals living in and around Dorchester, Poole and Bournemouth.
As a national charity providing centralised services for brain injury survivors across the UK, we believe it is appropriate for the local Headway charity closest to the area – Headway Southampton and West Wessex – to take over the running of these Dorset-based services.
From 1 April, Headway Southampton and West Wessex will assume responsibility for these activities. We do not anticipate any changes for existing service users, who will continue to receive the same high‑quality support.
