How to create your JustGiving page

Make your page pop!

A personalised page helps supporters feel connected to you and your story – here are our top tips:

  • Add photos of yourself or your event

  • Share your reason for supporting Headway UK – people give because they care about you and your reason for fundraising

  • Explain what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and what it means to you

  • Keep your goal visible and set a clear fundraising target – a goal can motivate your supporters to help you achieve it.

Top tips to get the most out of your JustGiving page

  • Make your first donation (or ask a friend to) and you’ll be encouraging others to give generously too

  • Share your page across your social media channels – and ask your friends and family to do the same. If you’re unsure what to say please get in touch with us, we can help you.

  • Remind people to add Gift Aid to their donation. It’s free to do and can help raise 25% more!

  • Add the link to your email signature

  • Post your training updates, photos and milestones – your supporters will love knowing how you’re getting on. You can even connect your fitness app to your JustGiving page!

  • Add your offline donations to your total

  • Ask your employer about matched giving – some employers offer up to £1,000 in matched funding

  • Keep sharing your page after the event - around 20% of donations typically come in after the event!

  • Post a message of thanks when you’re done. Supporters love to hear how it went and how much their donation meant to you.
