Researchers are looking for former patients—or family members of patients—who were ventilated following an acute brain injury to join the steering committee of an important research project.

Advert shared on behalf of researchers at Extubation ABI (Kings College London and the University of Oxford).

Have you or a loved one experienced mechanical ventilation due to an acute brain injury?

If so, your insights could help shape international guidance for future care.

Who can get involved?

We are looking for former patients or family members of patients who were ventilated following an acute brain injury to join the steering committee of an important research project:

‘Expert consensus guidance for extubation of patients with acute brain injury – an international, multi-disciplinary and multi-professional expert panel e-Delphi study’.

Your lived experience can help ensure that this research reflects what truly matters to patients and families.

If you are interested in taking part and would like further information, please email Extubation-ABI@kcl.ac.uk
