I don’t think I’d be able to get through my days without doing some sketching to calm me down

"My name is Lucy and I am a full time mum and brain injury survivor!

"My accident was in 2017 when I had a serious car collision, the outcome of this was me having a severe traumatic brain injury for the rest of my life. Being told you’ll never be the same again is the hardest thing, I have many ways of dealing with my stress, hurt and anger, one of them is doing some drawings!

"Being creative and having your mind on other things is so satisfying and I don’t think I’d be able to get through my days without doing some sketching to calm me down. It’s the best feeling when people give you compliments for your work too!

Being creative is a great way to distract yourself from having bad thoughts and good for training your brain to stay focused and calm.
