Trusts, foundations and other grant makers play a significant role in helping Headway - the brain injury association to reach and improve the lives of people with brain injury, their families and carers, across the UK.

How trusts and foundations support our work

We are indebted to the generosity that has directly contributed to transforming thousands of lives through our front line services or our network of groups and branches across the UK. 

• A free, confidential nurse-led helpline
• Professional, informative website
• Accredited publications and factsheets
• Training for brain injury survivors, family and carers, and professionals
• Emergency Fund for relief of hardship
• Brain Injury Identity Card
• Approved care provider accreditation scheme for residential care
• Giving a voice to those affected by brain injury by campaigning and lobbying for better support and resources. 

This funding also helps us to support our national network of groups and branches providing vital services in local communities.  We have a dedicated group of network support co-ordinators that support their activities, raise further community awareness, develop the network further and provide an extra layer of advice to service users and our group trustees.
