We will be opening our applications to Join our 2027 London Marathon Team shortly after this year’s event.

Charity places

If you secure a place, we'd be thrilled to have you run in support of Headway UK. Since ballot places aren’t tied to a fundraising target like charity places are, there’s no pressure—just the opportunity to join us in making a difference for those affected by brain injury. In return for your miles, we'll send you everything that you need to ensure a great marathon experience, before, during and after the event, including:

  • A personalised Headway running vest
  • A fundraising pack with useful hints and tips
  • Ongoing support from our dedicated fundraising team
  • Team support through an exclusive Team Headway Facebook group and a virtual pre-race event
  • A Headway cheering station en-route
