Chief Executive, Luke Griggs welcomed Headway’s network of groups and branches to our first ever Network Day hosted in Birmingham. The day was designed to bring the network together to connect and share best practices.
Engaging discussion groups provided shared knowledge on crucial topics such as recruitment strategies and specialised services for young people. A discussion panel, made up of fundraising experts, explored the art of building strong relationships with corporates and stakeholders. We welcomed Tina Teague from Venn Health, to talk about the new integrated NHS and its implications for the Headway network. Michael Kitching from Headway Norfolk and Waveney then presented their commissioning experience and challenges faced.
The wealth of knowledge shared left everyone inspired and motivated.
We were delighted by the participation and the numerous positive reflections posted on social media from our network partners. Comments like,
“Brilliant, informative, and packed full of ideas! The inaugural @HeadwayUK Network Day in Birmingham was a game-changer.”
“The bringing of groups and branches from across the country was invaluable to share best practices and tips.”
“Great to meet lots of difference faces representing Headway both near and far.”
This opportunity to bring together groups and branches from across the country and develop an invaluable exchange of best practices and insights created a sense of unity and purpose within the Headway community.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us, sharing their wonderful ideas and experiences. Special thanks to our speakers, moderators, and partners for contributing to this exciting day.
We look forward to the next Headway Network Day, anticipating more learning, networking, and collective impact to raise awareness and promote understanding of brain injury.
