Mario Ganau, MD PhD MBA LLM FEBNS FRCS(Ed) FFSTEd FACS
Mario is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Oxford University Hospitals and, since 2023, has also been appointed by NHS England as Clinical Lead for the Neurosurgery Transformation Program for the South-East Region.
Mario is an international expert in the holistic management of traumatic brain injury patients and remains committed to advancing the care and wellbeing of acquired brain injury survivors. His contributions to this field are underscored by multiple patients and public engagement initiatives at UK and European level and has been recognised through his membership of the Neurotrauma Committee of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies.
In recognition of his achievements as a surgeon-scientist, Mario has been elected fellow of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honour Society.
