About the role
- Working with the relevant staff and committee members to oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure its sustainability.
- Helping us to maintain and continuously improve our financial procedures and governance.
- Reporting back to the Board on the financial health of Headway Nottingham.
- Liaising with relevant staff to appraise the viability of plans, proposals and feasibility studies.
- Working closely with Charlotte, our CEO, to produce our annual budget.
- Attending a once-monthly evening meeting (quarterly in-person) and occasional subcommittee meetings as required. Committing to subcommittees is optional, depending on your availability.
- The role of Treasurer has a key Board function, so we need you to be responsive and reliable, albeit within the confines of your existing commitments.
Your experience
If you're working in the financial/accountancy sector and have a few hours each month to share your talent and passion for number crunching, we'd love to hear from you.
Experience or understanding of the issues surrounding brain injury and/or the charitable sector are an advantage, however are not prerequisites as our knowledgeable team will support your learning and answer any questions you may have.
Although the Treasurer role is unpaid, we're sure that when you understand our cause and impact, you'll feel as passionately about making a difference as we do. You'll also feel good with the knowledge that your spreadsheet wizardry will have a tangible impact on lives within the community we serve.
