Guests were once again wowed as the event raised an incredible £21,000 for Headway – the brain injury association.
“It was an amazing evening! I have never been to anything like it. The ‘Kingdom of Winter’ theme got everyone in the festive spirit, with ice dancers, polar bears and live music.”
Danielle Duggan, Headway Network Support Co-ordinator, North East
A second celebration is in order too, this figure sees the total funds raised by WonderLAN balls hit the £100,000 milestone!
A huge thank you to all at EMG Solicitors for hosting this incredible event and their ongoing support.
Why the WonderLAN Ball?
The money raised at the annual ball goes directly to support Look Ahead in the North (aka LAN), a residential weekend for members of Headway groups and branches in the North East and Cumbria.
Look Ahead in the North
Headway’s Look Ahead in the North, is held at the Calvert Trust inclusive outdoor activity centre in Kielder, Northumberland, and is a unique opportunity to bring together individuals and families affected by brain injury for a weekend of fun, sharing and challenging outdoor pursuits.
Events like these underscore the importance of community support and the positive impact of inclusive, outdoor activities on the well-being of individuals and families affected by brain injury.
In March 2024, the weekend will be held for the 12th time, allowing 86 brain injury survivors, family members, carers and volunteers from local groups and branches to attend for a fun-filled weekend.
