Ataxia is the name for a group of disorders in which the brain’s ability to control muscles becomes disrupted. Ataxia can cause difficulties with many skills and can affect various aspects of life.
The new publication offers information on what ataxia is, how it can affect life, how to cope with ataxia and where to get professional support from for this issue.
The publication also directs to other useful resources and sources of support.
We would like to thank Brooke Nairn, Chartered Physiotherapist and Researcher at University College London for reviewing the publication and sharing feedback. Thank you as well to the brain injury survivors who contributed to the development of this publication by sharing their experiences of ataxia after brain injury.
