Brain Injury Solicitors training This course has been designed for solicitors involved with brain injury cases
We have introduced a programme for our Solicitors Training course and require that all solicitors, new and returning, listed in the Headway Head Injury Solicitors Directory attend. We strongly encourage that each contact solicitor also circulates the training invite to all colleagues who are involved in brain injury cases.
What will I learn?
This engaging and accessible training is tailored for legal professionals who are relatively new to this complex area. We’ll equip you with the foundational knowledge needed to understand the language, processes, and rehabilitation journeys often involved in brain injury litigation.
Through real-world examples and clear explanations, you’ll gain insight into:
- The scale and impact of brain injury – why it matters in legal contexts
- Basic brain anatomy and common mechanisms of injury
- The medical treatment pathway, from acute care to discharge
- An introduction to neuroimaging – what it shows and how it’s used
- Key neuropsychological assessments (ACE-III, FAB) and what they reveal
- The rehabilitation process, including return-to-work considerations
- How Headway services support clients and families post-injury
By the end of this session, you’ll feel more confident asking the right questions, interpreting clinical information, and supporting your clients with clarity and purpose.
Ideal for:
Solicitors early in their experience with brain injury cases, or those seeking a structured refresher.
