Headway Preston & Chorley is a North West group established in 2011 and a registered charity (number 1144388). It provides brain injury related advice and support to individuals, their families and carers.
The group holds twice monthly sessions on the first and last Tuesday from 1pm - 4pm at the Salvation Army Centre, Harrington Street, Preston PR1 7BN.
The Drop In is held on the first Tuesday of the month and provides specialist advice and support around aspects of daily living including; benefits advice and financial information, legal advice, rehabilitation assistance and guidance, advice around caring and much more. Refreshments and therapeutic massage are also available.
The Activity Day is held on the last Tuesday and is for people who have suffered a brain injury (supported by a family member or Support Worker if required) to come along and take part in sessions which are designed to lift mood and increase confidence. Workshops include: art therapy, IT, talking therapy and relaxation through meditation. Refreshments are served.
There is no booking required for either meeting.
